"The Eyes Are the Best Part" is a book that follows a young Korean American woman named Ji-Won. When her mother introduces her to her new white boyfriend, Ji-Won begins to develop an unhealthy obsession with his blue eyes. One day, she begins to dream about eating them.

          When making this title sequence, I wanted to reflect the grotesque nature of the story. Since the story is about eyeballs, I wanted the animation to follow the journey of an eyeball being eventually consumed. I chose this blue color pallet to reflect the blue eyes Ji-Won becomes obsessed with, while also acting as a contrast to the blood.
