Montage

The assignment was to create a montage, a series of shots shown in a rapid succession that communicates an event in a few seconds. The goal was to create a 60-second video that told a story only using images and sounds. For my montage, I chose to depict Victor Frankenstein's frantic race to create his monster before the village arrests him.

Storyboard

Before starting the animation, I detailed the succession of the montage through multiple storyboards. I wanted a montage that felt high stakes, so I decided to depict Frankenstein's actions alongside the mob's. The audience roots for Frankenstein to finish his creation while also aware that he as little time. The storyboard was used as a close reference to the final product.
